14 weeks

It's the official First Day of Summer Vacation! I would say I'm doing absolutely nothing except lay on the couch and watch tv, but I have done laundry, some ironing, and a bit of other work. So I'm not a complete lazy bum. That's tomorrow's agenda! I figure I've got to get in my "do nothing" days now because before I know it July and August are here and I'm back to thinking about school.

I was going to post last week after my doctor's appointment but the last week of school is quite crazy (hey, you try getting 100 fifth graders to walk down aisles, sit properly, and cross a stage without acting like buffoons; I think planning my wedding was easier than planning fifth grade promotion). Doc gave me and Lima Bean another A (I'm thinking he doesn't give out A+ so I'm okay with an A). Figure by the time s/he is born, we'll have a 4.0 (gotta have smart kids remember, Clemson is expensive and well I only have $6.84 in the piggy bank). Back to the doctor's visit - cool thing was that I got to hear the heartbeat. I know that a baby's heartbeat is much faster than an adult's but it was crazy fast. 156 bpm which the nurse said was great. She said she could also hear the baby moving around but of course I can't feel it yet. That should happen in a few more weeks. Still a few pounds under my original weight but now that I've got my appetite back I'm sure to gain weight by my next appointment (July 1).

We are almost down to single digit days before hitting the beach (see below for the actual count). I just cannot wait to hit the beach and lay around and do nothing (I'm sort of good at that). But I also know we'll have loads of fun and lots of laughing fits. I'll be sure to post a few pics when we get back.
