Pink or Blue?

You would think that a candy jar that is usually filled with orange and purple m&ms would be suspicious when suddenly filled with pink and blue m&ms. You would think that the women in David's office who usually ask about us having kids would notice the pink and blue m&ms. Yeah, you would think that.

Instead, the most common reply some people said when taking m&ms from the jar was, "Glad to see you finally got the colors right with Carolina Blue." One guy even asked, "what's up with the pink though." Um, hello?

Needless to say, David had to really stress the pink and blue combo in order for everyone to figure out that we were expecting. I took the easy way out, I just wrote "pregnant" on a sheet of paper and quietly showed it to a few teachers at school. Of course by the next day most of the people at school had heard, but I expected that. The gossip train is the fastest moving form of transporation at school.
