I'm finally getting a few minutes here and there to update the blog. Ryan is now over two weeks old. It's hard to imagine two weeks have already passed. The first two nights at home were pretty difficult, but we managed. Ryan is starting to sleep for a longer period of time at night (instead of the 20 - 30 minutes we were dealing with).
Ryan had his two week check-up on Tuesday. He did very well. He now weighs 8 lb 5 oz, which is 3 oz over his birth weight so the nurse practioner was very impressed. And here I thought Ryan wasn't getting enough to eat. Ryan's also back to being over 22 inches long (after the cone head shrunk a little he was just under 22 inches). Basically we have a growing boy on our hands.
David and I are adjusting to this parenthood thing. I'm proud to say that I have had a shower everyday since Ryan and I came home from the hospital. It's not exactly an easy task to get done, but I'm determined not to be in my pajamas all day long.
Ryan is a sweet, sweet boy (when he's not screaming his head off of course). We love to kiss him and cuddle with him as much as possible. I've taken tons of pictures already (big surprise). I posted a few pics of his first two weeks below. I'll be posting many more as the weeks pass.

What a sweet boy! I love the pics you posted. I'd choose a favorite, but I just can't decide. The tiny feet, the crossed hands...gosh! If he's as good as he looks, you're in for a treat! Can't wait to meet him.
I haven't been ignoring you, I promise. Just got back in town last night. Hope I can stop by soon to meet your sweetie!
He's absolutely darling. And you look great, too. Congratulations on the daily shower--that's quite a feat.
